LISTENING TO OUR STORIES.
UNITED FOR JUSTICE.
TAKING ACTION.
Moral Monday
August 18th
Gather at 10 am Corner of East Road and Fruitvile Road
March at 10:30 to Rep. Greg Steube’s Office
The People of Sarasota and SURE will once again be a moral witness on August 18th. It’s time to acknowledge the harm caused by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) and share the stories of how it has touched our lives.
We will gather at 10am and at 10:30am march approximately half a mile from the corner of East Road and Fruitville Road to Rep. Greg Steube’s Sarasota Office. We have been offered a maximum of 10 parking spaces at Tractor Supply. It would be preferable if most people could park at Rep. Steube’s office and carpool to the starting location. When we arrive at the office complex, approximately 11am, we will share a prayer and a moral reflection on our purpose before we enter and deliver the letter.
Every story we collect brings us closer to the change we need. Together, we can make sure Sarasota County’s struggles are seen, heard, and addressed.
On July 14th, a gathering of 35 concerned citizens delivered a letter to Rep. Greg Steube of District 17 to address the immoral cuts to Medicaid and SNAP impacting people across Sarasota. Don’t miss this opportunity to lift up those affected by these cuts.
2025 LISTENING KICKOFF
An integral part of our annual process is listening to the people in our community about the issues that they are facing.
Congregational teams are getting ready to set goals and plan for their network house meetings. These house meetings are sacred conversations that help us know where to focus our research, time, and people power.
